Kayak paddles made of carbon-epoxy composite are very popular because of
their light wight and high endurance. We have contacts with several manufacturers, which offer paddles of different quality and shape. These products can be ordered from us as well.
The wood-laminated paddles with their drop shape are frequented by senior competitors on Marathon racings and popular on pleasure kayak tours at their traditional shape and natural material. More benefits of wooden paddles on tours are they can offer very firm support for kayak paddlers saving stability on surging surface, and in a rest position (paddle cross on the deck) none of blades will hit the surface of water and impede the course of boat.
In our manufacture we use wood materials e. g. pine, mahogany, cedar, okume(?), ash, lime, rosewood for the blades. The shaft is made of carbon because of its durability, rigidity and light weight. This time we are developing paddles with carbon fiber blades and carbon shaft, and we hope we can offer this type for order soon.
Before 1984 Olympic Games the drop-blade wooden paddles were used as well in racing sports. On this Games appeared a new developed type of paddle, with a wing form of blade and carbon made shaft. After the 1984 Olympic Games the wing-type paddles became dominant in racing sports.
The canoe paddles made of carbon epoxy composite are popular due to their light weight and solid material. The blade made of exotic materials lends the paddle high stiffness and a special colour effect and its natural
characteristics make it easily marketable.
Materials used for canoe paddles are: spruce, pine, Egzota materials,
mahogany, meranti, abasi, cedar, cedrela, wengele, rosewood, maple,
lime, ash. The paddles are optimalized by bracing and static points. The
blades are protected by a plastic or polyester layer.
